They are all part of Lawo’s unified, open platform where convenience comes first and several roads lead to Rome. After all, content producers require maximum flexibility and agility.

Audio and Video become One

Edge One

Edge One

With Edge One, Lawo ushers in a new chapter for audio and video connectivity in broadcast and Pro AV workflows. It is easy to carry around and can be placed close to the relevant sources and destinations.

Edge One makes the I/O part of Pro AV and broadcast workflows highly dynamic by providing combined, almost à la carte connectivity and functionality for both video and audio in a compact footprint, allowing operators to do more with less.

Unified, Open and Secure Platform

Platforms are the new “products” broadcast and AV users are looking for. As processing is increasingly handled by apps (see also our HOME Apps), lightning-fast and repeatable orchestration—complete with instantiation, utilization and teardown—are of the essence.

The HOME management system is free of charge: users only pay for the services they actually need, using either perpetual licences or credit-based Flex subscriptions (one HOME Pass per device or service). Each Lawo solution already comes with an included HOME Pass, so no additional purchase is required.

HOME

HOME V5 introduces an intuitive installation routine and role-based access control (RBAC). RBAC allows administrators to grant operators access to the functions and parameters they need for their job—and nothing else. Also called Triple-A (Authentication, Admission, Auditing), RBAC is based on certificates that can either be generated by Lawo or managed by the IT department of the broadcast or service provider in question.

HOME has remote control in its DNA and provides third-party platforms or services instant access to the entire HOME universe that consists of Lawo and third-party solutions—via a single API.

Audio Mixing Consoles

Lawo’s mc² mixing system keeps evolving, providing new features that users have been waiting for.

System Release 12.4 for mc² Consoles

mc² consoles now have a real-time spectral analyzer (RTA) that complements the 7-band EQ (4 static, 3 dynamic bands). With an adjustable resolution, it appears behind the EQ curve and can be frozen for verification purposes.

Great news for multi-operator workflows and speedy tweaks: a new DSP pop-up module for each channel bay. It provides access to the selected channel’s EQ and dynamics settings directly on the screen assigned to the channel in question. Touching a physical EQ or dynamics control automatically opens up the pop-up.

Note: The above applies to the following consoles: mc²36, mc²36xp, mc²56, and mc²96.
