NPR WEST
Future-Proof with Lawo
Prepared for nearly any Challenge
From its headquarters in Washington, D.C., National Public Radio (NPR) generates countless hours of programming for its 900+ member stations. In the aftermath of September 11, 2001, NPR realized the need for disaster recovery and continuity and decided to transform their Los Angeles NPR presence into a multistudio facility that could assume head-end status. The facilities are tied together via AES67/RAVENNA links, which are highly dependable thanks to SMPTE 2022-7 Seamless Protection Switching.
Needless to say, NPR’s role as a central clearing house for public radio content means that it must stick to the most stringent of standards, for both program and audio quality. For both content and engineering, NPR sets the bar high, insisting on only the most state-of-the-art technology.
The most State-of-the-Art technology.
