Chur, next to the Rhine river in the easter Alps, is one of the oldest Cities in Switzerland, rich with history and cultural heritage. The City is host to the University of applied Sciences HTW Chur, a higher Education Institution dedicated to equipping its 1,600 Students with degrees in Tech-Forward fields.
One of the programs offered at HTW Chur is a Bachelor‘s Degree course in Multimedia Production, teaching future media professionals how to structure and produce multimedia and interactive content.
Students pursuing this discipline are instructed in a myriad of topics: IT, Journalism, Corporate Communications, Film, and of course: Radio. To make certain that the Radio portion of their curriculum keeps pace with real-world technologies, HTW Chur has partnered with Andrin Egger and Mirko Fischli of Zurich’s 42am, a multimedia solutions integrator.
Together with the University, Egger and Fischli created a modern “virtual” radio studio environment for HTW Chur’s students, utilizing Lawo Virtual Radio Mixer software with touchscreen interfaces.
We wanted our students to be ready for the future.
